Built in 1954 for a real estate developer and his family, the Kronish House is one of only three Neutra-designed homes ever built in the City of Beverly Hills, and the only one that survives intact. By 2011, the house and landscape had suffered from years of modifications and neglect. Our client purchased the property with the intention of restoring the home and gardens. Throughout the restoration, our team of architects and landscape architects referenced Julius Shulman’s historic photos of the house interiors, façade, and landscape to remove non-original components and restore spaces as Neutra had envisioned.

Unlike some of the other versions of her character, the Mirage's comics version of April has dark brown/black hair (though early color reprints of Volume 1 depicted her hair color as red/light brown). The images that were often used to "prove" that April was black was an image of the character from the '80s when tight perms were popular. However, there's an explanation for this – in Volume one, No. 4, April goes to a salon for a makeover and opts for a perm.
